Inclusion Criteria
People with dementia with medically diagnosed dementia
Lives at home
No serious hearing problems
Participation as a dyad with family caregivers
Exclusion Criteria
For people with dementia:
Planned move to a nursing home within the next three months.
For family caregivers:
Serious unstable or progressive illness, lack of German language skills, serious psychiatric diagnoses, obvious cognitive impairments, participation in another study for family caregivers.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Before randomization, an individual goal that participants aim to achieve through the 6-week music intervention, will be formulated by family caregivers using Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS) during a telephone interview with a project member. Criteria will also be defined to measure goal attainment. The assessment of goal attainment will take place at T2 by the family caregivers.
