Unirradicular tooth of patients requiring endodontic treatment; teeth with pulp necrosis and presence of periapical lesion; need for endodontic retreatment; age range from 21 to 60 years of age, favorable health conditions, local and systemic; unirradicular teeth with unsatisfactory prior endodontic treatment performed 3 years ago or more; presence of periapical lesion visible
Periodontal disease; root fracture, exposure of the pulp chamber to the mouth; patients who used antifungals and antibiotics in the period of three months before the endodontic treatment; impossibility of absolute isolation were not included
