- •Willingness to sign the consent for study.
- •2. Diagnosis of generalized moderate â?? severe chronic periodontitis will be based on presence of atleast 20 teeth in the oral cavity, with atleast 30% of areas undergoing CAL of atleast 3mm, PPD of >= 5mm and radiographic evidence of bone loss.
- •3. History of smoking to enable to divide into 2 groups.

- •1. H/O use of medications or any dental treatment within last 6 months.
- •2. Any known systemic disease or condition which could act modifying factor of the periodontal condition.
