Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Adult patients (20\-65 yrs) of either sex, ASA physical status I and II, scheduled for major upper abdominal surgery under general anesthesia and thoracic epidural analgesia were included in the study. Surgical procedures included gastrectomy, colectomy, pancreaticodudenectomy, exploratory laparotomy and hepaticojejunostomy.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patient refusal, coagulation disorders, signs of local or systemic infection, and anatomical abnormalities.
