Patients meeting all of the following criteria will be eligible for study participation:
•Patients of either gender, between age group 25-60 years.
•Patients suffering from any of the symptoms of internal hemorrhoids .i.e. bleeding, pain (including discomfort and tenesmus during defaecation or any other time), heaviness, pruritus and mucus discharge
•Physical signs of hemorrhoids was determined objectively by the consultant surgeon using proctoscopy.
•Patients using topical agents for hemorrhoidal disease (may be included after a wash out period of one week if symptoms and signs persists or recurs).
•Diabetic patients who have HbA1C < 8%.
•Controlled hypertension.
•Controlled thyroid disorders.
•Anal fissure
•Fistula in ano
•Inflammatory bowel disease
•Chronic alcoholism
•Recreational drug abuse
•Coagulation disorders
•External piles
•Patients with previous history of surgery for hemorrhoids
•Hypertrophic anal papillae
•Patients having Hb. of <7gm/dl.
•Malignancies of the rectum
•Leukaemic disorders
•Patients with obstruction of portal circulation.
•Pregnancy leading to obstruction of the portal circulation.
•Lactating mother.
•Inability to comply with the study protocol, including psychiatric diseases
