- Brief Summary
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in females worldwide. Lack of knowledge and negative attitude towards screening practices contribute to delayed diagnosis of early stage cancer. There is lack of standardized instrument to assess the woman knowledge, awareness of Mammography. This study is intended todevelop and validate a tool to assess the knowledge, attitude and perception of screening mammography.
Phase I of the study is a qualitative research, where in, 15 individuals are until theoretical saturation has reached, questionnaire will be constructed.
In phase II four subjects in the field of medical imaging and mammography will validate the items generated from phase I.
In phase III exploratory factor analysis will be used to measure the relationship between the variables. There by developing a standardized instrument to assess the knowledge, awareness and perception towards screening mammography.
