- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Analysis of the RT-DC parameters / cell deformation, especially of the leukocytes in the clinical course (analysis of the kinetics), which are characterized by changes in cell size, deformation and brightness, in relation to the actual sepsis onset.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method RT-DC measurements at different times to analyze the same blood sample 1h, 2h, 4h, 8h after blood sampling to clarify the questions:
How quickly does the fresh blood have to be analyzed? How stable are the measurements?

Comparison of the RT-DC parameters with proven infection parameters CRP, PCT, IL-6 (correlation analysis, analysis of the significance of the new parameters)
