Inclusion Criteria
• need of a three-unit FPD supported by an implant in the premolar region and an implant in the molar region (first premolar-first molar or second premolar-second molar)
• presence of at least one antagonist tooth
• presence of at least one adjacent tooth
• implant position enabling a screw-retained FPD
Exclusion Criteria
• smoking > 15 cigarettes / day

Name Time Method The primary outcome of the study is the rate of ceramic fractures (USPHS criteria) at 1, 3 and 5 years
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Secondary endpoints will be assessed at each follow-up visit (1, 3 and 5 years).<br>• The marginal bone level will be assessed on a periapical radiograph.<br>• The biological outcomes will be assessed by measuring the pocket depth with a periodontal probe and bleeding on probing.<br>• The crown survival will be assessed by means of standardized USPHS criteria.<br>• The wear rate of the crown and the antagonist will be assessed by means of a silicone impression.<br>
