Age over 60 years; have at least six months and a maximum of 10 years of diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus to be confirmed in the electronic medical record; be registered at the basic health unit; have a cell phone with access to an instant messaging application; have long availability to attend the study; and be able to understand, verbalize and respond to proposed questions.
Diagnosis of type 1 diabetes mellitus; being insulin dependent; having chronic complications of diabetes mellitus (nephropathy, retinopathy, limb amputation and diabetic foot); have mobility limitations; and not knowing how to read and write.
