简要总结
The Supraclavicular brachial plexus block is considered to be one of the most effective methods of anesthetic procedures in upper limb surgeries. Although ultrasound guidance has proven to be effective in improving the safety of supraclavicular brachial plexus block, the incidence of complications like pneumothorax has been reported to be as high as 0.5 to 5% with the conventional supine position technique. The change in body positions may improve the safety of performing ultrasound-guided supraclavicular brachial plexus block by reducing the incidence of the most common complication i.e. pneumothorax.
