Inclusion Criteria
- •All children between 1 month to less than 1 year with respiratory distress as defined in the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Manual as presence of some or all of the following
- •Increased respiratory effort
- •Inadequate respiratory effort
- •Abnormal airway sounds
- •Tachycardia
- •Pale cool skin
- •Changes in the level of consciousness
Exclusion Criteria
- •Children with clinically recognizable congenital anomalies
