Patient o with moderate to severe isolated traumatic brain injury.
1.GCS of 5 or less at presentation
2.Presentation to hospital after 24 hours of sustaining injury.
3.A pre-existing known metabolic disorder that could cause ketoacidosis (type 1 diabetes, porphyria’s, organic acidaemia, glycogen storage disease, and gluconeogenesis disorders etc.
4.Injury Severity Score of more than 25 at hospital admission
5.Children with pre-existing neurodevelopment delay (cerebral palsy, global developmental delay etc.)
