- Brief Summary
Uponobtaining administrative permission and ethical committee clearance the datawill be collected from the study participants who are meeting the inclusion andexclusion criteria. Wheneverthere is elective intubation happening in red zone of emergency medicinedepartment and critical care medicine department of the selected hospital, theresearcher will explain the study objectives to the patient and upon obtainingconsent they will be enrolled in to the study. As theelective intubation is going on, the second physician will be performing the transtrachealsonography for confirming the ETT tube placement and the researcher will be notifythe time duration from the initiation of intubation procedure. Lateron, the wave form capnography also will be obtained from the same patient andnotify the time taken from the initiation of intubation procedure. Theaverage time duration of both techniques will be compared to determine the appropriatemeasure in confirming the ETT placement.

Pregnancy,Females in the reproductive age groupEmergency cases,Anatomical neck distortion due any cause (eg- surgery/ radiation therapy),Patients with subcutaneous emphysema, and pneumothorax.
