Male and female patients 18 years and older
- Planned (elective) thoracic surgical procedure
- Written informed consent of the patient
- Addiction or other medical conditions that do not allow the subject to understand the nature, scope, and possible consequences of the study
- Indications that the patient is unlikely to comply with the study protocol, e.g., unwillingness to cooperate
- Participation in other clinical trials that may affect the results of this study
- Emergency surgery
- Cardiac surgery
- Pre-existing supraventricular arrhythmia
