- •1.LDL-C>130 or >160 mg/dL (depending on the total risk according to the most recent recommendations25).
- •2. no previous hypolipidemic medication
- •3. ability to provide Informed Consent.

- •F.1.2 Adults (18-64 years) yes

- •1. pregnancy or lactation
- •2. myocardial infarction or unstable angina within the past 6 months
- •3. heart failure NYHA class III-IV
- •4. renal disease (SCr>3 mg/dL or proteinuria>3g/d)
- •5. liver disease
- •6. history of malignancy
- •7. history of drug or alcohol abuse
- •8. treatment with corticosteroids
- •9. any other condition with poor prognosis
- •10. inability to provide Informed Consent.
