Age of selected candidates: Adult men and women over 19 years of age
- Selected teeth: Permanent teeth whose pulp is exposed due to dental caries
- Clinical symptoms: Normal range of mobility and response to percussion / No unspecified pain / Hemostasis within minutes with wet cotton after pulpotomy
- Radiographic finding: No root resorption observed / No radiolucent lesions observed at the apical end and at the root bifurcation
- Others: Final restoration with composite resin or indirect restoration must be possible.
- Clinical symptoms: sustained pain (spontaneous pain) / abnormal range of mobility and response to percussion / gingival fistula, swelling observed / No response of pulp vitality / No-hemostasis within minutes with wet cotton after pulpotomy
- Radiographic findings: root resorption observed / radiolucent bone resorption lesions observed at apical end and root bifurcation
- Others: when final restoration is not possible / patients with systemic diseases for whom normal dental treatment and postoperative examination are difficult / pregnant women and lactating women
