This single-group quasi-experimental study will evaluate the effectiveness and durability of a fluorescent hand hygiene training program for first-year nursing students at a Polish university. Students will complete the WHO Hand Hygiene Knowledge Questionnaire and undergo Glo Germ-based fluorescent assessment of handwashing technique at baseline, immediately after the training, approximately two weeks later, at the end of the first semester, and just before their first clinical placements. The primary objective is to determine whether the training improves and sustains hand hygiene technique quality over time, while secondary objectives include changes in hand hygiene knowledge and the relationship between knowledge and technique

入选标准
- •First-year nursing students enrolled at Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences in Kwidzyn during the study period.
- •Aged 18 years or older.
- •Able to provide written informed consent.
- •Able to participate in the planned educational activities.
排除标准
- •Known allergy or skin intolerance to Glo Germ™ /gel or similar products.
- •Current dermatological condition of the hands that precludes the use of fluorescent lotion/gel or repeated handwashing (e.g., severe eczema or open wounds).
- •Previous participation in a pilot study or an earlier version of the same fluorescent hand-hygiene training at this institution.
