The ability to perform jumping movements is primarily influenced by the characteristics of the neuromuscular system, which governs precise muscle coordination during the action. To accurately execute a submaximal jump, movement patterns and muscular tensions must be adjusted based on maximal capabilities. As a result, the proprioceptive system plays a role in jump performance at different heights. The angle formed at the knee joint can affect the jump height. Enhancing proprioception and joint position awareness allows athletes to refine movement control, execute precise technical skills, and adapt effectively to dynamic and demanding sports environments. There is limited information regarding the currently used sensorimotor assessments, such as joint position sense and functional performance. Few studies have been conducted on jumps performed to a specific percentage of the maximum height. Thus, there arises the need to understand the relation between joint position sense and submaximal jump height accuracy.
The objectives are to establish a correlation between joint position sense using the Measure app and submaximal jump height accuracy using the Kistler force platform in professional and recreational athletes.
The procedure involves obtaining informed consent and demographic details. The participants will perform a 10 minute warm up following which the angular accuracy will be measured via the active joint position sense using the Measure app with the leg in 45 degrees of knee extension. The submaximal jump height accuracy will be assessed using the Kistler force plate, where the participant shall jump to his maximum and 50 percent of his maximum height, respectively.

入选标准
- •(1) Professional athletes (volleyball, basketball) who have participated in university/state/ national level competitions in the past year.
- •(2) Recreational athletes playing volleyball and basketball for at least 6 months.
- •(3) Age:18-30 years (4) Male athletes.
排除标准
- •(1) Athletes who have any neurological or cognitive impairments (2) Athletes with any musculoskeletal impairments like fractures, active ankle sprain.
