Inclusion Criteria

Phase-I

Inclusion criteria

1.Infant less than one year of age with signs and symptoms of diarrhoea

2.Mothers of children with diarrhoea

3.Mothers who breastfeed their infants since birth

Phase-II

Inclusion criteria

1.Infant vaccinated with Rota vaccine

Exclusion Criteria

Phase-I

Exclusion Criteria

1.Mothers who are not able to read and write kannada or English language

Phase-II

Exclusion Criteria

1.Infants who are not vaccinated

2.Infants with any comorbidities

primary parameters are to assess motherâ??s knowledge on breastfeeding counselling and WASH practices, to determine severity of diarrhoea among infants by using Vesikari Clinical Severity Scoring System and to compare the severity of diarrhoea with rotavirus vaccination status4)To provide breastfeeding counselling and WASH interventions to mothers of infants to experimental group and standard care to the control group.Timepoint: At baseline,1 hr in 2 months for one year intervention will be provided on breastfeeding and WASH practices
