Clinically diagnosed as acute febrile encephalopathy.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients in whom persistent altered mental state could be attributed only to one or more deranged metabolic parameters such as hypoglycaemia, hyperglycemia, hypercarbia, hyponatremia,hypernatremia, azotaemia, cerebrovascular accidents
