Patients of either gender between 30-60 years of age.
2. Patient suffering from moderate to severe chronic periodontitis.
ï?· Moderate: 3-4mm of clinical attachment loss on more than 30% of sites
ï?· Severe : >=5mm of clinical attachment loss on more than 30% of sites
(Gary C. Armitage Ann Periodontol 1999)
3. Presence of minimum of 2 teeth in contralateral quadrants with probing depth >= 5mm and <=7mm, clinical attachment loss >= 3mm and presence of bleeding on probing on at least one site.
1- Patients suffering from aggressive periodontitis.
2- Patients with systemic diseases and complications
3- History of smokers and tobacco chewers
4- Patients who have undergone periodontal therapy during last 6 month
5- Pregnant and lactating mothers
6- History of antibiotic therapy in last 6 months
