Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients of either gender between 30\-60 years of age.
- •2\. Patient suffering from moderate to severe chronic periodontitis.
- •ï?· Moderate: 3\-4mm of clinical attachment loss on more than 30% of sites
- •ï?· Severe : \>\=5mm of clinical attachment loss on more than 30% of sites
- •(Gary C. Armitage Ann Periodontol 1999\)
- •3\. Presence of minimum of 2 teeth in contralateral quadrants with probing depth \>\= 5mm and \<\=7mm, clinical attachment loss \>\= 3mm and presence of bleeding on probing on at least one site.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\- Patients suffering from aggressive periodontitis.
- •2\- Patients with systemic diseases and complications
- •3\- History of smokers and tobacco chewers
- •4\- Patients who have undergone periodontal therapy during last 6 month
- •5\- Pregnant and lactating mothers
- •6\- History of antibiotic therapy in last 6 months
