| The patients will be recruited from the community and the Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (CPRS) clinic, Jamia Millia Islamia on the basis of the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Patients would be required to sign the consent form explaining their rights as research subjects. All the identifying information on the consent form and the demographic data shall be confidential. The assessment of the patient will include demographic data, anthropometric characteristics and screening for chronic low back pain, chronic neck pain and healthy. EMG measurements will be performed by a qualified physiotherapist. Using surface electromyography, onset latency of 8 muscles will be measured. The onset latency of the trunk muscles and the neck muscles will be calculated with reference to the activation of deltoid muscle. |

入选标准
- •For healthy individuals
- •Participants aged between 18-45 years
- •Both male and female participants For neck pain patients
- •Both male and female participants
- •Chronic neck pain which lasted for more than 3 months but less than 7 years For back pain patients
- •CLBP lasting for more than 3 months but less than 7 years.
排除标准
- •For healthy individuals
- •Subjects who experienced low back pain or lower limb injury within the last 5 years
- •Subjects with the history of spinal or lower limb surgery
- •Subjects having any specific sports of training habits.
- •Subjects engaged in work involving heavy loads or perturbation on the trunk For chronic low back pain
- •spinal deformities;
- •spine surgery or participated in lumbar muscle training in the past year; or
- •any major neurological, circulatory, respiratory or orthopedic condition.
- •pain or paresthesia below the knee,
- •pregnancy
- •leg length discrepancy,
- •vestibular dysfunction
- •OA Knee For chronic neck pain
- •Subjects who underwent a cervical spine surgery
- •Subjects who participated in a neck exercise programme in the past 12 months
- •Spinal deformities
- •Vestibular dysfuction
- •Limb Length Discrepancy.
