Inclusion Criteria
Women in need of a mastectomy or who had a mastectomy in the past and eligible for a breast reconstruction
Exclusion Criteria
Patients with a poor prognosis (metastases)

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method <p>By using quality of life questionnaires we can score the satisfaction, quality<br /><br>of life and body image of patients who underwent a mastectomy with breast<br /><br>reconstruction. The most important questionnaire is the Breast Q.<br /><br>This can be combined with the objective data that are collected by the surgeon<br /><br>concerning many physical and medical variables. </p><br>

The fear for recurrence of cancer on the QoL of the breast cancer patients<br /><br>as measured by the CARS (Concerns about recurrence Scale)<br /><br>3. Anxiety and Depression as measured by the HADS (Hospital anxiety and<br /><br>depression scale)<br /><br>4. Cosmetic outcome as measured by the Strasser Score and the POSAS (Patient<br /><br>and Observer Assessment Score)</p><br>
