Inclusion Criteria
1) Patients diagnosed with hemiplegia.
2) Ability to understand the researcherâ??s instruction and training, a MMSE score of greater than 24.
3) A Trunk Impairment Scale (TIS) sitting score of greater than 8 points.
4) Ability to stand without the use of hand support.
Exclusion Criteria
1) A significant orthopaedic condition or chronic pain condition affecting standing ability.
2) Symptoms of cardiac failure.
3) Uncontrolled hypertension.
4) A neurological disease other than the initial stroke event.
