Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.Adult patients between the age of 18 to 60 years of age scheduled to undergo elective lower limb surgery under spinal anaesthesia.
- •2\.American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I and II.
- •3\.Anticipated duration of surgery 1\-2 hours.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Contraindications to spinal anaesthesia or previous failed spinal anaesthesia.
- •2\.History of long\-standing diabetes mellitus, cardiac or neurological disease.
- •3\.Patients with a hypersensitivity to soybean/egg.
- •4\.H/o neuropsychiatric disorders.
- •5\.Kidney or liver failure.
- •6\.Chronic treatment with opioids/sedatives.
- •7\.Pregnant/ lactating women.
- •8\.Obesity (BMI \> 30 kg. m\-2\).
- •9\.Anticipated difficult airway.
