1.Adult patients between the age of 18 to 60 years of age scheduled to undergo elective lower limb surgery under spinal anaesthesia.
2.American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I and II.
3.Anticipated duration of surgery 1-2 hours.
1.Contraindications to spinal anaesthesia or previous failed spinal anaesthesia.
2.History of long-standing diabetes mellitus, cardiac or neurological disease.
3.Patients with a hypersensitivity to soybean/egg.
4.H/o neuropsychiatric disorders.
5.Kidney or liver failure.
6.Chronic treatment with opioids/sedatives.
7.Pregnant/ lactating women.
8.Obesity (BMI > 30 kg. m-2).
9.Anticipated difficult airway.
