Name Time Method Evaluating guideline adherence in the management of patients with hypercholesterolaemia and cardiovascular risk in general practice by analysing possible changes in prescribing and treatment modalities regarding the prescription of statins (including dose and prescription of combination products) after the introduction of the new ESC treatment guideline in 2019.

Name Time Method Measure treatment outcomes (reduction in LDL-C levels, overall cardiovascular risk, reduction in the number of clinically relevant events or diseases (e.g. arterial hypertension, atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease (CHD), heart failure, myocardial infarction (MI), stroke, chronic kidney disease, diabetes mellitus)) and side effects (e.g. nausea, vomiting, and especially muscle pain) before and after publication of the ESC treatment guideline in 2019.
