入选标准
- •(i)CASES - aged 18 years and above with chronic(defined as â??patients who have
- •suffered from the disease for at least 6 months duration, in spite of being
- •treated.â??) and recurrent dermatophytosis (defined as â??occurrence of the dermatophyte infection within few weeks , after completion of treatmentâ??)
- •Patients willing to give informed consent.
- •ii)CONTROLS-
- •aged 18 years and above, who have been successfully treated for
- •dermatophytosis and newly diagnosed cases of dermatophytosis , after obtaining informed
- •consent. The non-lesional (normal looking) skin will be selected for biopsy.
- •iii)Patients willing to give informed consent
排除标准
- •(i)Patients aged below 18 years
- •(ii)Patients who are pregnant
- •(iii)Patients with superficial dermatophytosis of less than 6 months duration.
- •(iii) patients without any comorbidity affecting the immune response or
- •predisposing to dermatophytosis (e.g., primary or secondary
- •immunosuppression, diabetes mellitus, Cushingâ??s disease, transplant
- •recipients)
- •iv)Patients unwilling to give consent
