Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Post\-menopausal female aged between 65 years and 90 years
- •2\. Diagnosed with sarcopenia
- •3\. Diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. secondary osteoporosis
- •2\. regularly taking medications that can affect the bone or muscle more than a month before the study (e.g., anticonvulsants, steroids)
- •3\. a diagnosis of diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, parathyroid disease, or Paget’s disease of bone
- •4\. active malignancy requiring treatment
- •5\. having implants, hardware, devices, or foreign material in the measurement area
- •6\. chronic kidney disease more severe than stage 3 (GFR\<60 ml/min)
- •7\. alcohol addiction
- •8\. a history of previous fragile fractures (radius, hip, or spine)
- •9\. inability to understand or to participate in the study protocol
- •10\. refusal to participate.
