- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method It will be expected to find an impairment in the oral health and masticatory function in the group with Parkinson's disease when compared to the control group. The oral health is evaluated by the sum of the number of decayed, missing and filled teeth (DMFT) of the volunteers. For determining the expected outcome, a difference of 5% in the value of DMFT between the experimental and control groups are considered clinically significant. The chewing function is measured by the value of 'X50', and for determining the expected outcome, differences of 2 points in this figure are clinically relevant.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Secondary outcomes are not expected.
