To assess and compare social acceptance in patients with facial melasma versus facial vitiligo.

简要总结

This is a cross sectional observational study . Primary Aim of the study is to compare social acceptance between facial vitiligo and melasma. Secondary aim is to compare body image, self esteem and quality of life in facial vitiligo versus facial melasma patients. Total 92 patients were enrolled in the study ( 46 in vitiligo, 46 in melasma). F-VASI and MSI was calculated for each patient. Dermoscopy was done. 4 questionaare was given to individual patients and questions were asked . MC.SDS questionnare was used for assessing social acceptance where as Rosenberg self esteem scale was used for assessing self esteem. DLQI was asked. Body image questionnare was asked pertaining to body image.

入选标准

  • Adults more than 18 years of age diagnosed with clinical facial vitiligo/ melasma.
  • Adults more than 1 year duration history.

排除标准

  • Pregnancy and lactation.
  • Patients with pre-existing psychiatric comorbidities.
  • 3.Patients who are unwilling to participate.
  • Patients having vitiligo in other body areas.

主要结局

To assess and compare social acceptance in patients with facial melasma versus facial vitiligo.

时间窗: At Baseline.

次要结局

  • To assess & compare Body image, Self esteem & quality of life between facial melasma versus facial vitiligo.(At Baseline.)
