本品用于预防和治疗气性坏疽。当受严重外伤，认为发生气性坏疽危险或不能及时进行外科处理，应及时注射本品预防。一旦病症出现，除及时采取其他治疗措施外，要尽快使用大量抗毒素进行治疗。
