Background

A non-essential amino acid occurring in natural form as the L-isomer. It is synthesized from glycine or threonine. It is involved in the biosynthesis of purines; pyrimidines; and other amino acids.

Radiprodil Shows Promise in Reducing Seizure Frequency in GRIN-Related Neurodevelopmental Disorder

• Radiprodil significantly reduced seizure frequency in patients with GRIN-related neurodevelopmental disorder in the Phase 1b Honeycomb study. • The study showed a median reduction of 86% in seizure frequency in patients treated with radiprodil during Part A of the trial. • 71% of patients experienced at least a 50% reduction in countable motor seizures, with 43% seeing a greater than 90% reduction. • Radiprodil was generally well-tolerated, supporting its continued development as a potential first-in-class therapy for this disorder.
