A Deep Dive into the K-Beauty Craze Taking Over the Western Beauty Market

K-sunscreens use different chemical UV filters than US-approved ones, leading to easier market entry in Korea. US consumers prefer mineral sunscreens due to health and environmental concerns, but they often leave a white cast. K-sunscreens are more affordable and cosmetically elegant, attracting US consumers. Entry into the US market requires strict FDA compliance, including reformulation to meet UV filter standards, which can affect product aesthetics.
