Obsidian Solutions Group has been awarded a Direct-to-Phase II contract by AFWERX, the innovation arm of the Department of the Air Force (DAF), to develop a Virtual Emergency Response training program. The contract, valued at $791,000, will focus on creating advanced Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training for tactical teams, addressing critical challenges within the DAF.
The Air Force Research Laboratory and AFWERX have partnered to expedite the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) process. This collaboration aims to accelerate the experience of small businesses by providing faster proposal-to-award timelines, expanding opportunities, and reducing bureaucratic overhead through continuous process improvements in contract execution. Obsidian Solutions Group officially commenced its work on September 26, 2024.
