核心洞察
Paradigm Health (搜索) raised an oversubscribed $78 million Series B funding round led by ARCH Venture Partners (搜索) to accelerate expansion of its clinical trial technology platform.
The company operates the largest oncology research network in the United States, spanning 45 states and 166 healthcare organizations with 2,100 care locations serving 70% of the US cancer population.
Paradigm Health (搜索)'s AI-enabled infrastructure has helped health systems accrue to trials four times faster while reducing provider burden and accelerating timelines for biopharmaceutical sponsors.
Paradigm Health (搜索) announced the completion of an oversubscribed $78 million Series B financing round to accelerate the expansion of its AI-powered clinical trial platform across healthcare systems in the United States and globally. The round was led by ARCH Venture Partners (搜索), with participation from new investor DFJ Growth (搜索) and existing investors including F-Prime, General Catalyst, GV, Lux Capital, Mubadala Capital, and the American Cancer Society's BrightEdge Fund.
The technology company is transforming clinical trial conduct by integrating research capabilities directly into routine healthcare workflows, addressing longstanding barriers to patient access and trial efficiency. Paradigm Health (搜索) currently supports Phase I-III oncology trials for 15 of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies and operates what it describes as the largest oncology research network in the United States.
Expanding Clinical Trial Access Through Technology Infrastructure
Following its acquisition of Flatiron Health (搜索)'s Clinical Research Business, Paradigm Health (搜索) has built a comprehensive network spanning 45 U.S. states and 166 healthcare provider organizations with 2,100 care locations. This infrastructure places 70% of the U.S. cancer population within easy access to a clinical trial site, including 123 community oncology practices and 43 health systems and academic medical centers, 23 of which are NCI-Designated Cancer Centers.
"Clinical trials are how we learn and improve care for patients," said Kent Thoelke, Chief Executive Officer of Paradigm Health (搜索). "Today, most research happens in academic centers because they have the staff and infrastructure to manage it. Patients in community and rural settings have limited access to trials, and their experiences remain underrepresented in research. This slows down trials, makes them more expensive, and misses opportunities for innovation."
The company's AI-enabled infrastructure automates patient matching and site feasibility processes, helping health systems accrue to trials four times faster while reducing provider burden and accelerating timelines for biopharmaceutical sponsors. Paradigm Health (搜索) recently launched a Trial Design Service to enable sponsors to design and execute interventional and pragmatic trials embedded directly into routine care.
Addressing Clinical Research Bottlenecks
The funding comes as demand grows from global biopharmaceutical companies for more efficient trials and from health systems seeking to offer trials to patients closer to where they receive routine care. Robert Nelsen, Managing Partner at ARCH Venture Partners (搜索) and Paradigm Health (搜索) Co-Founder and Board Chair, emphasized the platform's potential impact on drug development timelines.
"When trials run more efficiently, new treatments reach patients sooner," Nelsen said. "Paradigm Health (搜索) is creating new infrastructure the industry desperately needs: one platform that enables hospitals and sponsors to run studies faster, more intelligently, and at far lower cost. This will accelerate the development of promising therapies and help ensure today's patients have access to the treatments they need."
Expanding Beyond Oncology
While oncology remains the company's primary focus, Paradigm Health (搜索) is expanding its commercial business across neuroscience, cardiovascular disease, metabolic conditions, and other therapeutic areas with significant research needs. The platform aims to make clinical research a seamless part of patient care in every community where it's needed.
Justin Kao, Partner at DFJ Growth (搜索), highlighted the platform's positioning for the current wave of drug innovation. "Clinical trials are the bottleneck in getting new therapies to patients, especially as AI unlocks an unprecedented wave of drug innovation," Kao said. "Paradigm Health (搜索) is the AI-native platform built for this moment, pairing breakthrough technology with the largest clinical network to make trials dramatically faster and more accessible."
The new funding will support Paradigm Health (搜索)'s continued expansion as it works to democratize access to clinical trials and reduce barriers to participation for both patients and healthcare providers across diverse care settings.
