Ohh-Med's Vertica Device Offers Drug-Free Solution for Erectile Dysfunction

• Ohh-Med's Vertica device uses radio frequency technology to stimulate collagen production in the penis, improving blood flow and erection quality. • Clinical data shows Vertica has an over 85% success rate in treating ED, with positive results seen within 1-3 weeks of use, and no reported side effects. • Vertica is approved for use in Australia, the EU, Israel, and the UK, and is currently undergoing trials in the US for FDA approval. • The device offers a drug-free alternative to medications like Viagra, which can have side effects and may not be effective for all men.

An Israeli startup, Ohh-Med, has developed Vertica, a novel device offering a drug-free solution for erectile dysfunction (ED). The device utilizes radio frequency technology to stimulate collagen production, addressing a condition projected to affect 320 million men worldwide by 2025, according to the World Health Organization.

How Vertica Works

The Vertica device generates an electromagnetic field that promotes collagen production within the structural tissues of the penis. Daniel Lischinsky, CEO of Ohh-Med, explains that this collagen remodeling enhances erection quality and reduces flaccidity by improving support for the veins, thereby facilitating better blood flow.
The device, a circular apparatus placed at the base of the penis, delivers radio frequency energy through eight contact points. The targeted tissue heats to approximately 48 degrees Celsius, which users experience as a "pleasant warmth." This warmth encourages the body to direct plasma to the penis, further supporting circulation and blood vessel function, according to Lischinsky.

Clinical Efficacy and Advantages

Clinical data indicates that Vertica achieves a success rate exceeding 85% across all age groups, with noticeable improvements within one to three weeks of use. The company recommends using the device three times per week for the first month, twice weekly for the second month, and then once weekly for maintenance. A key advantage of Vertica is the absence of reported side effects, contrasting with common ED drugs like Viagra, which can cause headaches, nausea, and, in rare cases, more severe symptoms such as vision loss or seizures. Furthermore, Vertica's efficacy is not affected by food or alcohol consumption, unlike some medications.

Regulatory Status and Future Plans

Vertica has already secured approval for use in Australia, the European Union, Israel, and the UK. Ohh-Med is currently conducting trials in the US to obtain FDA approval. Lischinsky, who previously founded Endymed, a company that received FDA approval for a radio frequency-based facial skin-tightening device, sees significant potential for Vertica. There are currently 6,000 Vertica devices in use worldwide.
"The theory makes sense; the results are more than amazing," says Lischinsky. "We are on our way."
