hellocare.ai, a leading AI-assisted virtual care delivery platform, has announced a strategic collaboration with Mayo Clinic focused on developing ambient clinical intelligence technology. The partnership, announced on June 10, 2025, aims to create more proactive healthcare approaches that could potentially reduce hospitalizations and severity of illness while improving patient quality of life.
As part of the collaboration, Mayo Clinic has also joined hellocare.ai's previously announced $47 million growth round as an investor, expanding the funding for the Clearwater, Florida-based company.

Advancing Ambient Clinical Intelligence

The collaboration will focus on developing next-generation ambient clinical intelligence capabilities designed to aid healthcare providers in early detection, reduce clinician workload, and support safer and more proactive inpatient care. This technology represents a significant advancement in AI-assisted healthcare delivery.
"Collaborating with Mayo Clinic – the number one hospital in the world – on ambient clinical intelligence allows us to push the boundaries of what's possible with AI, resulting in smarter, safer, and more responsive care at scale," said Labinot Bytyqi, Founder and CEO of hellocare.ai.

Comprehensive AI Platform Deployment

hellocare.ai's unified platform is currently deployed across more than 70 health systems, enabling hospitals to deliver a comprehensive suite of AI-assisted services. The platform includes ambient documentation, digital whiteboards, patient engagement tools, and hospital-at-home services, all delivered through a deeply integrated, enterprise-grade solution.
The technology integration aligns with Mayo Clinic's expansion strategy and commitment to innovation. "At Mayo Clinic in Florida, our mission is to combine world-class care with innovation that anticipates and solves tomorrow's healthcare challenges," said Kent Thielen, M.D., CEO of Mayo Clinic in Florida. "Innovative technology is playing a key role in our new hospital expansion—enabling smarter, more connected care environments that enhance both the patient and staff experience."

Transforming Care Delivery Models

The collaboration represents more than traditional technology implementation. Michael Maniaci, M.D., professor of medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, emphasized the transformative potential: "Our recent hospital expansion is more than just adding beds; it's about reimagining the patient and clinician experience. By integrating advanced technologies like ambient clinical intelligence and digital engagement tools, we've created a care environment where patients are more connected and clinicians can focus more on personalized care."
Various healthcare organizations are deploying hellocare.ai's platform across their systems to improve patient outcomes, reduce clinician burnout, and modernize care delivery approaches. The platform's comprehensive suite includes AI-Assisted Virtual Nursing, Virtual Sitting, Patient Engagement, Digital Whiteboard, Digital Room Signage, Ambient Documentation, Hospital-at-Home, Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), and Digital Clinic services.
The collaboration positions both organizations to advance AI-assisted healthcare delivery while maintaining focus on patient-centered care and clinical efficiency. Mayo Clinic will use any revenue it receives from the technology to support its not-for-profit mission in patient care, education and research.
