The deal includes a $40 million upfront payment and $15 million equity investment, marking a significant milestone in the development of next-generation bispecific antibody therapeutics.

The partnership, formalized through agreements signed on November 12 and 14, carries a total potential value of $2.602 billion, including the initial upfront payment.
Sang Hoon Lee, CEO of ABL Bio (search), outlined the company's strategic priorities following the completion of administrative procedures including the HSR Act. "The company plans to use the newly secured funding to expand the indications of its Grabody platform into high-unmet-need areas such as obesity (search) and muscle disorders (search)," Lee stated. "ABL Bio also intends to extend clinical development of its bispecific immuno-oncology candidates into combination therapies and focus on advancing next-generation ADC programs."

ABL Bio (search)'s clinical portfolio showcases the versatility of its Grabody platform, with eight pipelines currently in development across multiple therapeutic areas.
