The U.S. Food and Drug Administration cleared Oregon Health & Science University's (OHSU) Investigational New Drug (IND) application, enabling the company to advance its oral treatment option for patients currently dependent on complex, off-label intravenous therapies.
Study Design and Leadership
The multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, prospective clinical study will be led by Dr. Kevin Winthrop, Professor of Public Health and Infectious Diseases at OHSU, in collaboration with investigators across an estimated 10-15 sites in the United States. The trial will enroll approximately 90 patients and is expected to initiate patient enrollment in the first quarter of 2026.
