The bispecific anti-CD19xCD22 CAR design targets both CD19 (search) and CD22 (search) antigens, which is expected to reduce the risk of tumor escape via antigen loss—a common challenge in hematologic malignancies (search). Additionally, the technology incorporates localized cytokine induction intended to activate immune responses specifically at tumor sites, expected to improve CAR cell proliferation, cytotoxicity, and persistence while attempting to stimulate the patient's own immune system.
