Clinical Setbacks Drive Strategic Pivot
Bridge Biotherapeutics (search)' decision to pivot comes after significant setbacks in its drug development pipeline. The company's lead candidate BBT-877, designed to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (search) (IPF), failed to demonstrate statistical significance compared to placebo in Phase 2 clinical trials, with top-line results released in April 2025 showing the primary evaluation index failed to meet endpoints.
