The poster presentation, titled "A Systematic Framework for the Scalable Loading of Therapeutic siRNA and PMO into Exosomes," showcased proprietary data highlighting the versatility of Capricor's exosome-based technology platform.
The research team successfully demonstrated that engineered exosomes derived from 293F cells could be loaded with therapeutic siRNA and PMO (search) cargo using optimized electroporation conditions. This achievement represents a significant step forward in addressing one of the key challenges in exosome-based therapeutics: producing sufficient quantities for clinical applications.
Scalable Production Strategies
Capricor's research revealed that both scale-up and scale-out electroporation strategies produced comparable loading efficiencies to standard small-volume electroporation methods.
