The initiative comes at a crucial time when community practices, which treat the majority of U.S. cancer (search) patients, face mounting pressures from declining reimbursements and increasing administrative complexities.
Meeting Critical Industry Challenges
Recent research conducted by Cardinal Health revealed significant challenges facing community oncology practices. Nearly half (48%) of surveyed practices identified system complexity navigation as a primary challenge, while 72% emphasized the need for advanced technology solutions. The study also highlighted that 74% of practices value transparency, and 56% prioritize autonomy in decision-making when considering network partnerships.
