Energy Transfer (搜索) and Sunoco (搜索) have donated $2 million to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer (搜索) Center to support pediatric cancer research. The donation comes as a result of Energy Transfer's 2024 workplace giving campaign, which included contributions from over 1,200 Energy Transfer and Sunoco employees across the country and corporate matching funds.
Richard Gorlick, M.D., division head and chair of Pediatrics at MD Anderson, stated, "The generous contributions from more than 1,200 Energy Transfer (搜索) and Sunoco (搜索) employees across the country is truly remarkable. Through the dedicated support of these committed employees, we can fund important clinical trials that make a significant difference in the lives of pediatric cancer (搜索) patients now and in the future."
Decade of Support
Since 2014, Energy Transfer (搜索) and Sunoco (搜索) employees have donated more than $17 million to MD Anderson through their annual fundraising efforts. The annual campaign includes contributions from corporate funds and more than $1 million from the Energy Transfer/Sunoco Foundation. All funds will support pediatric cancer (搜索) research at MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital.

Impactful Research
In October, representatives from MD Anderson Children’s Cancer (搜索) Hospital visited Energy Transfer (搜索)’s headquarters in Dallas, Texas, to meet with senior leaders. Gorlick shared research breakthroughs made possible through Energy Transfer’s support, including menin inhibitor (搜索) research, which is particularly impactful for pediatric patients facing leukemia (搜索) and other blood diseases.
