Wirthumer-Hoche, in an interview with Austrian broadcaster ORF, stated that authorizing Sputnik V without EMA approval is akin to "Russian roulette." "I would strongly advise everyone that I am against the national emergency authorizations for the Russian vaccine, making it clear that there is still not enough data on the Russian vaccine and the safety of the people who have been vaccinated so far," she said.
