In a significant wave of digital health investments, Berlin-based Aignostics has emerged as the frontrunner, securing $34 million in Series B financing. The funding round, led by Athos and Hightech Gründer Fonds, with participation from Boehringer Ingelheim's venture arm and the Mayo Clinic, brings the company's total funding to over $55 million.

AI-Powered Digital Pathology Advancement

Aignostics specializes in developing artificial intelligence algorithms that analyze medical images and integrate them with epidemiological, clinical, and genomic data. The fresh capital will support the refinement of foundational models for digital pathology and expand services for target and biomarker selection.

Telemedicine and Remote Care Innovations

Hamburg-based TCC has attracted €20 million ($21.4 million) in Series A funding, spearheaded by logistics entrepreneur Captain Thomas Pötzsch. The two-year-old company's AI-powered platform provides comprehensive remote support for intensive care units, including real-time monitoring and round-the-clock access to specialists.
Professor Dr. Christian Storm, TCC's CEO and co-founder, emphasized the funding's role in advancing their algorithm development program toward creating a holistic digital twin for ICU care.

Expanding Digital Health Platforms

Yazen Health secured €19.5 million to enhance its digital platform for obesity care, which combines remote support, lifestyle guidance, and GLP-1 agonist prescription services. The Swedish company plans to expand beyond its profitable home market into the UK, Germany, Spain, Norway, and the Netherlands.
New Zealand-based Alimetry raised $18 million in Series A2 financing, led by GD1, to accelerate the commercialization of its innovative wearable device for gastrointestinal disorder diagnosis. The FDA-approved technology uses electrodes to measure GI tract electrical signals, with data analysis performed through an AI-powered app.

Mental Health and Clinical Trial Innovation

Nema Health, specializing in digital trauma and PTSD treatment, secured $14.5 million to expand its remote support platform. The Connecticut-based company offers comprehensive care through talking therapy, peer support, and psychiatric medication services across multiple US states.
London-based Research Grid completed a £5 million ($6.5 million) seed round to develop its clinical trial automation platform. The company's products, Inclusive and TrialEngine, aim to streamline trial administration from preparation through completion, potentially increasing trial efficiency and success rates.
