Novel Prostate Cancer Imaging Agent Awaits March Decision
Telix Pharmaceuticals' TLX007-CDx, a cold kit for PSMA-PET imaging in prostate cancer, faces its FDA decision deadline on March 24, 2025. This innovative imaging agent utilizes gallium-68 from high-activity generators and cyclotrons, potentially offering enhanced distribution capabilities compared to existing PSMA-PET imaging agents.
Breakthrough UTI Treatment Under Priority Review
Following closely, the FDA will evaluate gepotidacin, a first-in-class triazaacenaphthylene antibiotic, by March 26, 2025. This novel treatment for uncomplicated urinary tract infections (uUTIs) has shown promising results in phase 3 trials. UGN-102's FDA decision is expected by June 13, 2025, for low-grade, intermediate-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer. The phase 3 ENVISION trial demonstrated impressive efficacy, with a 79.6% complete response rate at three months. Notably, patients who achieved complete response showed an estimated 12-month duration of response of 82.3%, with sustained response rates of 80.9% at both 15 and 18 months.
