The primary aim of the meta-analysis was to evaluate the impact of different pharmacological interventions on cardiac function, renal function, and clinical outcomes in AHF patients with concurrent renal impairment. The researchers analyzed data from trials comparing nesiritide, dopamine, tolvaptan, levosimendan, dobutamine, furosemide, spirolactone (search), and high-dose diuretics (furosemide and spirolactone) against conventional treatment or placebo.
Impact on Cardiac and Renal Function
